Robert Alfred Rohrich

GOWANDA - Robert Alfred Rohrich, 78, a retired foreman in the plumber steam fitter department for Gowanda State Hospital, where he worked for more than 40 years, died Saturday (Nov. 12, 2005) at WCA Hospital in Jamestown.
Born March 20, 1927 in Perrysburg, he was the son of the late Merl A. and Mildred Alzina (Jackett) Rohrich.
He enjoyed baseball and basketball, managing a Little League and junior league baseball team for Perrysburg Fire Department. He bowled on the Black Hawks bowling team at Helmuth. He was a past member of the Perrysburg Fire Department. He enjoyed the outdoors, traveling, camping. and hiking.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Mae {Woodward) Rohrich, whom he married on Nov. 22, 194 7, of Gowanda; his daughter, Rose M. Luce of Wesley Chapel, Fla.; his son, Richard L. Rohrich of Perrysburg; four grandchildren; . six great-grandchildren and his sister, Judy LonCaric of San Diego, Calif, an uncle Lloyd Rohrich, several nieces, nephews and cousins .
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Chester, Kenneth and Eugene Rohrich.
