Robert Leroy Bean ,84,of Weaver Hill Road, Cherry Creek ,died Wednesday (March 29,2000) at Lake Shore Hospital in Irving, NY. He was born April 27,1915 in Redhouse , NY the son of the late Frank George and Mary ( Earl ) Bean.

Mr. Bean served in the U.S. Army during World War II from 1942 to 1945 earning the following medals. Purple Heart with three Oak Leaf Clusters ,the European African Middle Eastern Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.

Prior to his retirement ,he worked as a machine operator for Carnation Milk Plant for 22 years.

Surviving are four sons, Raymond Bean and David Bean both of Jacksonville, Fla., and

Edward Bean and Donald Bean both of Gowanda, two daughters Elizabeth Weaver of Salamanca and Linda Weaver of Jamestown and a sister, Thelma E Sheldon of Cherry Creek.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters ,Marie Clark and Theresa Rose. Arrangements are by the Hills Funeral Chapel, South Dayton.
