Robert Charles Fisher

Robert Charles Fisher, 84, a retired construction superintendent, died Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at Bethesda Memorial Hospital in Boynton Beach, Florida.
Mr. Fisher had lived in Boca Raton, FL since 1981 and was previously from Ritter Road, Cattaraugus. He was born May 25, 1925 in Markhams, NY the son of the late Charles and Beatrice (Prince) Fisher. Robert was a construction superintendent for John W. Cowper Co, Inc., where he worked for 30 years. He was superintendent of construction on area schools, the Big E, Main Place Mall, the Bills Stadium and the Niagara Falls Waste Water Treatment Plant.
He served in the Army during World War II having attained the rank of Flight Officer, enlisting on October 25, 1943 at Buffalo, NY and being discharged on September 4, 1959 at Niagara Falls, NY. He continued to serve his country in the Air Force Reserve in Niagara Falls where he attained the rank of 1st Lieutenant.
Mr. Fisher was co-founder of Fisher Pools, in Hamburg, NY.
Robert had a life long love of flying. He is survived by his wife Jane C. (Botsford) of Boca Raton, FL, his daughter Jean E. (Joel) Fisher of Denver, CO, three sons David C. (Jan) Fisher of Wellsboro, PA, Henry J. (Jane) Fisher of Hamburg, NY, Samuel J. (Rebecca) Fisher of Oakton, VA, 4 grandsons, 3 granddaughters and his uncle Hoyt (Elaine) Prince of Brocton, NY, and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Norma Priest.
