STOW - Sharon Ann Swinson, 75, died December 1, 2022.
Born in Gowanda, NY, Sharon was a resident of Stow since 1976. She had been employed with the Copley-Fairlawn City School District as a teacher, retiring in 2006. Sharon was a member of the United Methodist Church in Stow.
Sharon truly loved her years teaching and spent all her free time working at summer camps and with the Seniors of Stow. She volunteered for many years at the Stow Senior Center, where she organized bus trips, holiday events, and weekly card games. She was an avid Buffalo Bills fan, enjoyed traveling with her husband, planning dinners and shows with friends, spending winters in Arizona, and above all, loved her family and the time she spent with them. Sharon was most proud of her grandkids and didn't miss a sporting event, dance recital, or school event. She was their biggest and loudest cheerleader.
Preceded in death by her father, Clifford Scott; sister, Susan Gabel, and brother, Douglas Scott, she is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Ed Swinson; mother, Shirley Scott; daughter, Jamie (Ronald) Croce; son, Scott (Shaena) Swinson; grandchildren, Camden "C.J." Croce and Charlotte Croce; nephews, Michael, Lonny (Anita), and Sean Gabel, and Lance Scott.
