Former Perrysburg Youth killed in Vietnam

Word was received here this week that a Perrysburg youth was killed in action in Vietnam March 21, 1967. He is Pvt. Vincent Richard Williams of ( 101st) Airborne Division, a 1965 graduate of Gowanda Central School.

The son of Mrs. Leonard (Bryant) of (Millington), Tenn., he made is home with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Foster Hall of Perrysburg and lived most of his life in Perrysburg.

He enlisted in the Army in February 1966 and arrived in Vietnam in September.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard (Bryant) Jr., great grandmothers Mrs. John N Hall of Forestville and Mrs. Claudia Wright of Fredonia; four half sisters and two half brothers of Millington and a cousin, Wayne H Hall, Jr. of Perrysburg. Funeral arrangements are being made by Schaack’s Funeral Home and are incomplete

KIA while serving as a Private First Class with B CO, 1ST BN, 327TH INFANTRY, 101ST ABN DIV, USARV, Army of the United States. His home of record was listed as Alameda, California. VINCENT R WILLIAMS is on the Wall at Panel 17E, Line 15. May his sacrifice not be forgotten. - Thanks Billy M. Brown
