GOWANDA - Richard F. Samson, 64, of Broadway Road, Gowanda passed away Wednesday (Dec. 21, 2011) at ECMC in Buffalo, NY.
He was born July 6, 1947 in Gowanda, NY the son of the late Frank and Mary (Sladich) Samson.
Mr. Samson was a Vietnam veteran, having served in the U.S. Army.
He was employed at Jubilee in Gowanda for many years until his retirement in 2009.
Survivors include a sister, Judith (Stephen) Krantz of Tonawanda, NY; two nephews, Stephen (Kristi) Krantz Jr. and Scott Krantz; a niece, Kelly (Doug) Schwallie; four great nieces and nephews, Kayleigh, Keira and Kassie Krantz and Jackson Schwallie; and his god-mother, Mary Sladich. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a twin sister, Patricia Samson.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery in Gowanda, NY. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Mentley Funeral Home Inc., 105 East Main St., Gowanda, NY.
