Marshall Grant Kilburn Sr.
CATTARAUGUS - Marshall Grant Kilburn Sr., 90, of Cattaraugus, passed away Saturday (July 23, 2016) in Farmville, Va.
He was born April 26, 1926, in Little Valley, the son of the late Marion and Waive Noble Kilburn.
Mr. Kilburn was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served in World War II in the Atlantic Theater.
He worked for Fredonia Express-Trucking Co. and Kramer Farms of Holland for many years. He also worked on diesel engines and cut logs.
Mr. Kilburn married Gloria Mae Milks, who passed away in 1995.
Mr. Kilburn was a member of the Little Valley VFW.
He is survived by seven sons, Gordon (Deb) Kilburn of North Carolina, William (Marie) Hammond of Erie, Pa., Daniel (Jackie) Kilburn of Idaho, Marshall (Karen) Kilburn Jr. of Kentucky, Robert (Marsha) Kilburn of Nevada, Thomas (Jen) Kilburn of Pennsylvania and Scott (Melissa) Washburn of Little Valley; and three daughters, Connie (Vince) Moskal of Harrisville, W.Va., Elizabeth (Michael) Dowler of Virginia and Evonne (Bradley) Phillips of Little Valley. Mr. Kilburn is also survived by one sister, Florence (Benton) Bryant of Little Valley; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Besides his wife, he was predeceased by a son, Michael Kilburn; and four sisters, Lucille Colbert, Mary Ellen Kilburn, Virginia Hutchinson and Patricia Kilburn.
Burial with military honors will be in Parklawn Cemetery in Wesley.
