Early Allegany Resident

Stephen Allen Manufacturer of Sleighs and Carpenter came to Allegany (then Burton) in 1832 with his wife Laura Welch and two daughers, Laura and Jane. After Laura's death he married Mary Ann Sheldon who bore him 5 Children, Henry, Elmer, William, and Eddy.
