David A. 'Butch' Kamery

OLEAN - David A. "Butch" Kamery, 79, of Olean, passed away Saturday (Dec. 24, 2022) at his home, in the presence of his wife.

Born Jan. 12, 1943, in Olean, he was the son of John W. and Gertrude R. McMillen Kamery. David was first married to Barbara Flynn Kamery, with whom he had two children, David and John. Barbara passed away in 1993. On May 18, 1996, in Olean, he married Christina M. DuGrenier, and they were blessed with a daughter, Susan.

David was a 1961 graduate of Olean High School and joined his family in the operation of Kamery Wholesale Meats. He later purchased the business and operated it until closing the business.

Kamery Wholesale Meats was a longtime sponsor of the Olean Softball League and won many of the City Cup trophies over the years. All of his life he enjoyed the outdoors and he hunted and fished around the U.S. and Canada.

Surviving besides his wife, Christina, are two children, John (Kandra) Kamery of Olean and Susan Kamery of El Paso, Texas.

In addition to his wife, Barbara, he was predeceased by his parents; and a son, David Kamery in 1981.

There will be no visitation. A private burial ceremony take place in Mount View Cemetery next to Barbara and their son, David.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
