Hinsdale – Norman Paul Davis "Loving Husband, Father, & Grandfather"

Norman Paul Davis, formerly of 1370 Route 446, of the Pines Health and Rehab, passed into the waiting arms of his Lord and Savior, on Friday, January 29, 2021, at the Olean General Hospital, following a lengthy illness.

Norm was born on January 24, 1943 in Olean and was the son of Norman D. Davis and Isobel Davis Powell. On May 22, 1996, at the Christ United Methodist Church in Olean, he married his wife of 24 years, Rachel A.Flick, who survives.

Norm attended Olean High School. He worked as a maintenance mechanic for Allegany County while he owned and operated Davis Service and Supply, retiring in January of 2005, due to illness. Norm was a member of the River's Edge United Methodist Church in Portville. He was a life-time member of the Hinsdale-Maplehurst Fire Department, where he served as an EMT and Captain of the Ambulance.

Norm enjoyed hunting, fishing, and cooking, but he truly loved his family and spending time with them.

Along with his loving wife Rachel, Norm is survived by; 6 daughters, Jennifer (Joe) Caryer, Jeanne Green, Tammy Davis, Tanya (Gerald) Burdick, Kimberly Tidd, and Kathy Jo (Troy) Sargent; a step-daughter, Tammy (Chris) Ferry; 2 stepsons, Scott (Kimberly) Kish and Michael (Sherrie) Kish; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Along with his parents, Norm was predeceased by, 2 sisters, Gail Napoleoni and Naomi Diggers, and his mother-in-law, Orpha Flick.

Friends will be received at the River's Edge United Methodist Church, 10 North Main Street, Portville, on Thursday, February 4, 2021 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, at which time a Memorial Service will be held. The Rev. Dawn Quesenberry, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will be at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Olean.
