Donna Vance
1941 - 2026

Hinsdale — Donna Rae Miller, 85, entered into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Saturday, (August 22, 2026), with her loving family by her side.

Born April 5, 1941, in Olean, she was the daughter of Earl and Cecelia Lounsberry Vance. On December 11, 1959, in Olean, she married Charles A. Miller, who predeceased her on March 2, 2026.

Donna was a graduate of Olean High School. She worked at Acme Electric, Walmart, The Castle, and in the family machine shop.

Donna was a feisty, fun-loving woman who cherished spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed going to the casino, having an occasional beer, people-watching, playing cards, and board games, especially Sorry with her grandchildren. She was always supportive of her husband, Chuck, even purchasing the first piece of equipment for his machine shop, a lathe.

Donna also had a creative side, taking great pleasure in crocheting and creating beautiful diamond art.

She is survived by her son, Steve Miller of Hinsdale; three grandchildren, Chris (Jillian) Miller of Portville, Stephanie (Shawn) Drum of Cuba, and Desirae Miller of Hinsdale; her sister, Paula Vance; several great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her mother and father and her sisters, Constance Pakis and Beverly Blakeslee.

Friends are invited to attend a celebration of Donna’s life on Saturday (August 29, 2026) beginning at 5 p.m. at the Hinsdale American Legion, 3729 Route 16, Hinsdale, NY 14743.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Cuba Skilled Nursing Facility for the loving care they provided to Donna.
