Fredrick Alvin Spiller, 79 of Buchanan Dam, Texas passed away January 4, 2021. Fred was born to Alvin and Faye (Gleason) Spiller on April 18, 1941 in Olean, NY. Mr. Spiller proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He married Joan Meade on March 9, 1963, in Laredo, Tx. They were married 41 years, before her passing. After many years of service in the United States Postal Service, he retired in Buchanan Dam, Texas. He and his high school sweetheart, Bonalyn Vernoy were married on March 12, 2006. He was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Llano, Tx.

Bro. Spiller loved the Lord with a passionate love. He was always extremely active in any church he was a member of. He led the bus ministry and children’s church for many years. He loved singing in the choir. He also served as a Deacon. He believed in being about the Lord’s work.

He is survived by his wife Bonalyn of 15 years. His children, Debbie Hack and husband Wil, David Spiller and fiancé Cara; stepchildren, Pamela Phillips and Mark Lindauer. His sister Jeannie Abby; and brothers Ronald Spiller and R. Gordon Spiller. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Joan Spiller; daughter, Pamela Spiller; father Alvin Spiller; and mother Faye Spiller.

Graveside services will be Tuesday at 2:00 p.m., January 12, 2021 at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park in Burnet, Texas. Rev. Gary Hocker will be officiating. Highland Lakes Honor Guard will be furnishing military honors. An online guest register may be signed at www.
