Dominic (Dee) Rogers, Loving Husband, Father, and Grandfather

Olean- Dominic (Dee) Rogers passed away Sunday, January 4, 2026, at the Olean General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family after a short illness.

Dee was born in Olean on September 9, 1941, the son of the late Floyd (Week) and Frances Marra Rogers. On June 17, 1967, he married his true love, the former Paula Ramire, who survives.

Dee, a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, community volunteer, and lifelong sports fan, passed away surrounded by love. He will be remembered for his generosity, dedication, and commitment to his family, faith, and community.

A proud graduate of Olean High School, Class of 1959, Dee carried his school pride throughout his life. While in school, he earned the rank of Eagle Scout, and after graduation, he served for six years in the National Guard. He remained connected to his high school through 25 years of service with the Olean Alumni Association.

Dee believed in giving back and was always ready to help others. He served as Chairman of Catholic Charities for St. John’s Parish for 15 years and also volunteered with St. Vincent de Paul and Meals on Wheels, providing support to those in need.

His faith was always a central part of his life; he served for many years as an usher at St. John’s Parish and contributed to the annual Festa Italiana.

A supporter of youth and education, Dee was a member of the St. John’s School PTO and Boys Basketball Coach. A true sports fan, he followed the St. Bonaventure Bonnies, New York Yankees, Buffalo Bills, and nearly every other sport he could watch.

Dee worked as a food broker for McDermott Foods in Buffalo before retiring.

He is survived by his loving wife, Paula (Ramire); his daughter, Pamela (Dennis) Pezzimenti; his son, Dominic (Jennifer) Rogers; and his cherished grandchildren, Paul Pezzimenti, Mary (Zach) Handy, Luciano Rogers, and Mia Rogers. He is also survived by his brother, Floyd (Karen) Rogers; his sister, Louise (Steve) Mattison; his nieces, Allegretta Mattison and Laura (Brennon) Zenoski, and his sister-in-law, Antoinette Oliva.

Above all, Dee was a loving family man whose kindness, guidance, and steady presence will be deeply missed. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched, the service he gave, and the love he shared.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at St. John’s Church, 931 N. Union, Olean, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Burial to follow in St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Allegany.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations, if desired, may be made to St. Vincent de Paul or Meals on Wheels.
