BEAUMONT, Texas - Thomas F. Hull, 72, of Beaumont, died Sunday (April 21, 2013) at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth, Beaumont.

He was born Oct. 31, 1940, in Olean, N.Y., to Frances Halsen Hull and Thomas Edward Hull, and had been a longtime resident of this area.

Thomas was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a proud member of the American Legion Post 33, where he served as post commander, vice commander and post adjutant. He also served as District 2 commander from 1996 until 1998. Thomas worked for Post 33 bingo and was also president of 11th Street Bingo Association. Along with his accomplishments with the American Legion, Thomas had been a lifelong member of the Shinglehouse (Pa.) Fire Department.

Survivors include his wife, Elaine Hull; son, Timothy A. Hull; and daughter, Tonya Hull and her partner, D'Anna Stelly, all of Beaumont; a nephew, Richard Hull of Florida; two brothers, Larry Hull of Olean and David Hull of Ohio; two sisters, Phyllis (Dan) Blaske of Cuba, N.Y., and Nancy Blackwell of Huntersville, N.C.; and numerous other family members and friends.

A gathering of Mr. Hull's family and friends was held Wednesday in Beaumont. His funeral service will be at 2 p.m. today (Thursday, April 25, 2013) at Broussard's Funeral Home in Beaumont, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
