Georgeantas, George T.: February 8, 2004. He is survived by his wife; Irene; daugher; Lea; sister Anastasia (Socrates) Karas of Fl and nephew; Theodore Karas of NYC; brother-in-law; Nicholas (Ann) Zamas and nephews, Athan and Alex Zamas, all of OH, and beloved godchildren.

A professor of mathematlcs and former chair of the Mathematics Department of RIT since 1975, George was an active and dedicated contributor to the Greek Orthodox community and a founding member of the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Spirit. He was a devoted steward of the Orthodox faith and its music.

Friends may call Wednesday 3-5, 7-9pm with a Trisagion Service given by Father Patrick Cowles at 7:30pm at Anthony Funeral Chapel, Inc., 2305 Monroe Ave. You are invited to bring a memory or favorite photograph of George for the family's memory book. Funeral services will be held Thursday 11am at the Greek Orthodox Church of he Holy Sprit, 835 South Ave., Rochester 14620. Parking is limited; Please arrive early. Donations may be directed to the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Spirit or to the Mathematics Scholarship at RIT that will be established in George's memory.
