Paul Foster
1941 - 2024

Paul M. Foster passed away on August 20, 2024 at age 82. Paul was born on September 9, 1941 to Paul and Wynona Foster, in Olean, New York.

Paul is survived by his wife of 60 years, Randa. He is also survived by his three children, Paul (Susan) and their children, Evan and Megan; son Ken (Debbie) and their children, Ryan (Mel), Jason (Shea), Harley, Anthony, Joe (Kylie); and daughter Carrie (Roy) Hawkins and their children, Nathan and Samuel; sister, Judy Anderson; sister-in-law, Leanna and Sally; and many nieces and nephews.

Paul is predeceased by his brother George; sisters Jean, Pat and Nancy.

Paul grew up in Olean and joined the Navy, going on three trips to the Mediterranean on the USS Independence. Paul loved his time in the Navy, where he learned the trade of welding. Over the years he became very successful in the welding trade.

He had numerous hobbies, which included: wood working, making maple syrup, gardening, hunting and fishing, and trees. Paul also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and loved his neighbors where he lived. Paul also loved dogs, especially his dog Molly.

Paul enjoyed the many good times he had after retirement, and lived them out on his sixty- acre property in Arkport.

Paul’s family would like to thank the staff at Strong Hospice.

Friends and family may call on Wednesday, August 28 from 11-1 at Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 West Main Street, Caledonia, where his funeral service will be held following at 1pm. Interment will be Mumford Rural Cemetery.
