Constance M. Prescott
1941 - 2011

PORTVILLE, NY - Constance M. Prescott of 347 W. River Road passed away Monday (Dec. 19, 2011) at Olean General Hospital after a long illness.

Born June 1, 1941, in Olean, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Lola Buffen Carroll. On May 9, 1959, she married James C. Prescott, who passed away Dec. 28, 1979.

Constance was a graduate of Olean High School, class of 1959, and resided most of her life in Portville. She retired from Dal-Tile Co. in Olean. Constance loved her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids.

Surviving are a daughter, Joan Prescott of Eldred, Pa.; four sons, James Prescott of Hornell, William (Anita) Prescott of Duke Center, Pa., Robert Prescott and Jeffery (Mary) Prescott, both of Portville; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Francis Carroll of Portville; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two sons, Michael Prescott and Francis Prescott; and a daughter, Lou Ann Prescott.

Family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Guenther Funeral Home Inc., 51 S. Main St., Portville, where funeral and committal services were held Thursday (Dec. 22, 2011) at 11 a.m. Pastor Gary Sheesley of the Duke Center United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Portville, NY.
