Lorraine Anzivine

OLEAN - Lorraine Chipchak, of Walnut Street, passed away Friday (Aug. 9, 2024) at Olean General Hospital, with her loving family by her side.
Lorraine was born Oct. 3, 1941, in Olean, at St. Francis Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Genevive Mishanec Anzivine.
She graduated from Olean High School in 1959. Lorraine worked for the Cattaraugus County Health Department in the laboratory.
Her hobbies were gardening, reading, playing card games and bowling. She enjoyed watching the Buffalo Bills and was a lifelong fan. She was a member of the St. Stephens Auxiliary and the Pulaski Club Auxiliary.
Lorraine is survived by her loving companion, Larry Higby; her three children, Daniel Skrzypczak, Cindy (James) Buchanan and Lynn Graves; grandchildren, Logan, Chelsey and Megan Skrzypczak, Mike (Taira), Chris and Steven Buchanan, Amber (Lacey) and Jeremy Fie; great-grandchildren, Kayden and Chloe; siblings, Grant (Cappy) Panus and Suzie (Stan) Dolecki; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, Lawrence and Genevive; and stepfather, Benny Panus.
There will be a Celebration of Life for Lorraine from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, 2024, at the Pulaski Club, where great memories and stories can be shared.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of the donor's choice in memory of Lorraine Chipchak.
