DURHAM, N.C. | Patricia Ann Dunn, 67, died Monday, October 8, 2007 at Duke University Medical Center. She was surrounded by her close loving family.
Patty is survived by her husband of 43 years, James Clair Dunn, of Little River; son, Patrick and his wife, Laurie, of Portville, N.Y.; son, Michael of Suffield, Conn.; son, Joseph of Washington, D.C.; daughter, Heather and her husband, Mark Scott, of Morrisville, N.C.; and grandchildren Kyle, Connor, and Chloe Dunn, of Portville, N.Y., and Eddy and McKenna Scott of Morrisville, N.C. She is also survived by brother, Jerry (Shirley) Wisel of Sterling, Mass.; sister, Janice Witruke of Olean, N.Y.; sisters, Barbara (Lee) Tuttle and Linda (Mark) McNeilly, both of Portville, N.Y.; and many nieces and nephews.
Born June 7, 1940, she was a native of Olean, New York, and attended Olean public schools. She was the daughter of Joseph and Gertrude (Dibble) Wisel, of Olean, N.Y. Patty graduated from Jamestown Community College and obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from St. Bonaventure University. She worked for Olean based AVX Corporation for over 30 years and retired in 2002 with husband, Jim, to Little River, S.C.
The family wishes to express great appreciation to the doctors and staff of Duke University Medical Center's Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care department and the 7800 ward.
Her quick wit and sense of humor were an inspiration to all.
A brief graveside service will be held at St. Bonaventure Cemetery on Saturday, October 13, 2007, at 10:45 a.m. Family and friends will be received 1 p.m. at the Ancient Order of the Hibernians hall, located at 1421 East State Street in Olean, N.Y.
