James Lucas

NEWARK, Ohio - James Benjamin Lucas, 83, of Newark, passed away peacefully Thursday, Dec. 28, 2023, after a brief illness.

A former resident of Olean, N.Y., he served our country proudly as a member of the U.S. Air Force from 1962-1966.

Survivors include three children, Kris Louise Lucas of Somerset, Ky., Candace Cay Van Ree of Naples, Fla. and Barbara Ann Nenno of Newark; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Service to be held at Fairlawn Cemetery in Scio, N.Y. Details to be announced at a later date.
