LOCKPORT - Camellia "Candy" Peyatt passed away Tuesday (Jan. 8, 2013) under the care of Niagara Hospice.

Born Aug. 15, 1939, in Olean, she was a daughter of Richard and Camellia Howe Kayes. Candy worked in production at Oldham Saw in Burt and tended bar for the IOOB. She was an active member of several local clubs and especially enjoyed spending time with her family and working on jigsaw puzzles and Chinese auctions.

Candy is survived by her husband of 22 years, Andrew Peyatt of Lockport. She was the mother of Daniel Langdon, Elaine (Peter) Morello of Lockport, Deborah (Dennis) Drabant of Olean and the late Sharon Langdon; stepmother of Andrew (Pam) Peyatt, Charles (Kim) Peyatt, Christopher (Trinia) Peyatt and Caroline (William) Rauber; grandmother of 12, step-grandmother of 10, great-grandmother of eight; sister of Raymond Kayes and Mariam Ordway, both of Olean, and the late Henry Kayes, Richard Kayes, Florence Mosher and Catherine Flanigan. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport, where prayers will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Saturday (Jan. 12, 2013), followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport. Interment will be in Huskey Cemetery.
