Judith 'Judy' Hollamby, beloved wife, mom, grandmother,
great grandmother and sister

PORTVILLE --- Judy Hollamby of Sunset Ridge Road, Portville, passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2021 in her home, surrounded by her family. Born July 6, 1940 in Olean, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Frances (Peters) Corson.

Judy was a 1958 graduate of Olean High School. On November 24, 1962 in Olean, she married Carl Hollamby, Sr., who survives.

She worked at Acme Electric for three years and Portville Central School for 12 years and was an active member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church in Westons Mills. Judy was active in the Portville Community as cheerleading and softball coach, Den Mother, Bluebird Leader, F-H assistant, marching band and FBLA chaperone and Sunday School teacher. Judy read her Bible and devotions daily, she enjoyed bowling, collecting crosswords, singing, attending OCT musicals and plays, attending every sporting event and concert her children and grandchildren were involved in and family traditions, especially Christmas Eve and the Family Reunions. Judy was also a huge Bills, Sabre and Yankee’s fan.

In addition to her husband, Carl, she is survived by her children: Walter (Connie) Hollamby of Olean, Deborah (Honorio) Rodriguez of Olean, Carla (David) Campbell of Clackamas, Oregon, Evelyn (Douglas) Erwin of Bolivar, Glenda (Sean) Konert of Florida, Carl G. (Andrea) Hollamby, Jr. of Portville, Dave (Michelle) Gleason of Olean and Melinda Gleason of Allegany; sisters, Frances Butler of Florida, Dorothy (John) Washington of Olean, Marlene (Michael) Washington of Olean, Darlene (John) Washington of Olean; brothers, John Corson of Alaska, sister-in-law Lori Corson of Alaska, special friends Lynne Faulkner, Donna Monterville and Judy Smith; 20 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her brothers Harold, William and George Corson and sister Janice Corson, several half sisters and brothers, a grandson Gregory Hollamby, several close aunts: Josephine Lewis and Shirley Peters and nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Family will receive friends Friday (October 15, 2021) at the Guenther Funeral Home, Inc., 51 South Main Street, Portville, from 2:00-4:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm. Funeral Services will be held 2:00pm on Saturday (October 16, 2021), at the funeral home, Pastor Doty McIntyre will officiate. Burial will be in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Portville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Olean Community Theatre, 212 North 13th St., Olean, NY 14760, The American Cancer Society, 101 John James Audubon Pkwy, Buffalo, NY 14228 or the Shriners Hospitals, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.
