Joanne Butler
1940 - 2021

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - Joanne Marie Caracciolo, 81, of Williamsburg, passed away on Sept. 3, 2021.

Joanne had a career as a teacher in New York state schools. She was a member of Saint Bede Catholic Church.

In her free time, Joanne could always be found devouring a book. She was a super grandma and great-grandma to all of her grandchildren.

Joanne is survived by her son, Scott (Courtenay) Schafer of Williamsville, N.Y.; daughter, Lisa (David) Butchello, of Williamsburg; sister, Nancy (Cyril) Borer of Allegany, N.Y.; grandchildren, Dominic Butchello, Gia (Matthew) Chambers, Joseph Butchello, Erin Schafer and Eric Schafer; great-grandchildren, Brayden and Bryson Chambers; nephews, Mark and Matthew Borer.

Joanne was preceded in death by her husband, Paul J. Caracciolo.

Memorial contributions can be made in Joanne's name, to the Heritage Humane Society in Williamsburg, VA., or the Allegany N.Y. library.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
