1940 - 2016
Geraldine L. Mann, 76 of Lockwood passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA.
Geraldine Mann, known as Gerry to friends and family, is survived by her husband of 52 years, Robert C. Mann; as well as her children and their spouses, Robert V. Mann and Nicole Cameron of Binghamton, Gary and Michelle Mann of Lockwood, and Vicki and Scott Lincoln of Otter Lake, NY. Gerry is also survived by grandchildren Daniel Mann, Katie Mann, Sean Mann, Garrett Mann, Cooper Lincoln, Renaud Cameron-Beauregard and Simon Cameron-Beauregard, as well as great-grandson, Parker Mann.
Gerry was predeceased by her parents, Vaughn and Mildred Blair; and her brother Ronald Blair.
She graduated from Olean High School, in Olean, NY. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, as well as at times working in Citizens and Northern Bank and Waverly Central Schools in the cafeteria and with the SACC program. She spent several winters in Dade City, Florida.
Gerry enjoyed traveling, camping, penny slot machines and spending time with family and friends. She frequented rummage sales, and had an extensive wish list from family members of search items to locate, which she would indeed find, no matter how challenging to do so. She was a terrible ocean swimmer and inevitably washed up on the shore by rogue waves if she entered the water deeper than her ankles. Gerry made the world's best strawberry jam, bread and butter pickles and applesauce. She had Christmas presents bought and wrapped by February. She was the glue of the family. She found humor and the positive in almost all situations and was always, always unconditionally loving.
A time of gathering will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 from 10 to 11:45 AM at Blauvelt Funeral Home, 625 Broad St., Waverly, NY.
