1940 - 2015

OLEAN - Audrey L. Powless, of 746 Prospect Ave., passed away Tuesday (Feb. 17, 2015) at The Pines Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Olean.

Born on Oct. 7, 1940, in Olean, she was the daughter of William J. and Grace McAbee Becker.

Mrs. Powless was the former director of family services for the Mental Health Association of Cattaraugus County in Olean for many years. In her free time she enjoyed shopping. She also had a beloved dog, Buddy.

Surviving are three daughters, Bonnie (Tim) Buchanan of Olean, Cindy Kay of Orchard Park and Debra Morgan of Olean; two grandchildren, Brandon Buchanan of Olean and Jonathan Tilly of Arcade; and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a granddaughter, Amber Smithson.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Casey, Halwig and Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Road, Olean. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday (Feb. 24, 2015) at the funeral home. Burial will be at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Olean.
