MEETS BRIDE AT CAMP PIKE
Proprietor of Hyde Drug Store Marries Miss Marie Woodard - Couple Are Spending Week at Buffalo.
Gouverneur, Oct 23 -- Word was received here Wednesday of the marriage on Monday of Harry Abell, a former Gouverneur boy, and Miss Marie Woodard of Olean. the wedding is supposed to have taken place at Olean, although Mr. Abell's mother, Mrs William Morrison, was without definite knowledge. The couple are spending the week at Buffalo, and will probably visit Mr. and Mrs. Morrison on the way to Massena where Mr. Abell is proprietor of the Hyde drug store.
The groom was formerly employed here in the drug store of the Mead company, after graduating from Gouverneur High school in 1908. He finished Columbia university in 1913 as a pharmacist, and was located in California when the war broke. He received a lieutenant's commission at Camp Meade in 1918 and later at Camp Pike, he met Miss Woodard who was a supervising nurse there. After returning from overseas Mr. Abell located in Massena. The bride is unknown here.
