Here they had a two-story house, a farm, and a Pierce Arrow, with a chauffer. Mike was involved with small town politics and Democratic Politics. He also attended a Democratic Convention in Texas. Mike represented the Fredonia area and attended Franklin D. Roosevelt's inauguration. He also was mentioned in the paper for killing an unusual type of wolf that was killing chickens on his property.
