The Kane Family were also members of Little Ireland in Cattaraugus County. They were not original settlers, however the family did live there early on. It is believed that the head of the family was Tom. He bought four acres of land from James Townsend. Tom farmed and ran a blacksmith business which sat behind his house. The house sat across the brook and road from the Spellacy's. It is also believed that this residence may have been the house that once belonged to the Morgan's.
