JAMES THOMAS KEOUGH
BELLINGHAM, Wash - James Thomas KEOUGH, 96, died Wednesday (Oct
25, 2000) at his home.
Born May 6, 1904 in Limestone, N.Y. he was a son of James P. and Mary
FALL KEOUGH. On July 25, 1925, he married Hellen "Ella" LYONS,
who died in 1978; they were married 53 years.
On Feb. 14, 1981, he married Esther DONNELLAN, who died in 1992; They
were married for 11 years.
Mr. Keough worked for Socony Vacuum in Olean, N.Y., then transferred to
Monil Oil in Ferndale WA, in 1954, as superintendent of
operations. In 1966 he retired after 40 years.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a life time member of
the Catholic Church, most recently as a member of St. Joseph Catholic
Church in Ferndale.
Mr. KEOUGH was an avid bowler, fisherman and Irishman through and
through.
Surviving are two daughters, Eileen (Bob) SHAW of Michigan and Madelyn
(Wayne) WASLOHN of Ferndale; a son, Jim KEOUGH of Nevada; four
stepchildren, Jon DONNELLAN of Connecticut, Noreen SPINK of New York,
Nancy BEECHLER of Arizona, David DONNELLAN of Seattle, and C. James
DONNELLAN of Minnesota; 12 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren; two
great-great-grandsons; and his beloved dog, Smokey.
In addition to his wives, Mr. KEOUGH was predeceased by two daughters,
Beatrice KEOUGH and MaryAnne KEOUGH; and to sons, James Thomas KEOUGH
and James Patrick KEOUGH.
A Vigil Service was held Friday in Moles Funeral Home Chapel in
Frendale.
A funereral Mass wil be held today (Oct 28, 2000) at 10:30 a.m. in St.
Joachim Catholic Church in Bellingham. The Rev Thimothy Sauer
will officiate. Committal services will be held Monday (Oct 30,
2000) at 11 a.m. in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ferndale.
