The 1939 football season was mediocre judging from the scores, but a person who saw any of he games would have a fairly good opinion of the team, The line was made up of veterans, but on account of many injuries green substitutes were used. This made the work much harder for the backfield, which was completely made up of new men with the exception of Williams, the battering halfback.
Most of the games were decided in the final minutes of play when the reserve strength of our rivals won out. The silver lining of our football season was the tie games with our traditional rival, Little Valley, who has not beaten us in eight years.
The prospects for next year's team are fair as there will be vereran backfield men but new linemen.
